Excited and relieved that the plans have been submitted. CornerStone have done us proud and the building looks beautiful. It is amazing.
We have broken the buildings up so that the space on the site. The view from the still room and its glazed gable looking over Teelin and across Donegal Bay to Sligo beyond is magical, moving the main buildings form the stone buildings that will house the Gin Palace is inspired.
The block plans from Forsyths have allowed us to lay the distillery out to tell the story well the use of the slopes to disguise the buildings is really clever. I’m sure Gavin wont thank me but this is a beautiful stone byre and hay barn. The clever use of the slopes also means that the building sits 3 metres below the road.
It’s a relief to get to this point and so grateful to everyone who has put work in and supported us. Its over to the council and their deliberations now.
We shall busy ourselves with patience….
